Forest Lane Counselling offers in-person therapy in Haliburton County, Muskoka and the City of Kawartha Lakes. Virtually in Ontario.

You will find a warm and supportive approach to therapy. We see children, youth, couples, adults and families. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they may need a professional to talk to. Nicole provides a safe, confidential and empathetic space to help you work through your situations and come out feeling supported, understood, heard and valued with the skills to take on the day.

We’re thrilled to welcome Claude Chartrand!

Claude brings 20+ years of experience in mental health and human services. He has a Bachelor of Social Work and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. His work is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, and deeply grounded in understanding intergenerational trauma.

As a son, brother, husband, and father, Claude has a special interest in supporting men and creating a space where emotions are welcome, and vulnerability feels safe.

Group 1 - 11am to 1pm 3 spots available
Group 2 - 6pm to 8pm 2 spots available

4 week commitment is required
Cost is $80 per person per session
Sessions are virtual

Nicole is an approved supervisor by the CRPO for those who are currently in Qualifying Status.

✨Business Woman of the Year✨

What an honour it is to receive this award. I am still soaking it all in.

When I first became a therapist I had lofty dreams and big ideas but mainly all I wanted to do was help people thrive in their world. When I finally leaped and started Forest Lane Counselling, I wanted to build something that made a real difference, a place where people could find hope, healing, and the courage to move forward.

Our humble beginnings of a home office and a dream quickly grew into more than I could even imagine.

I always knew I wanted to provide more for Haliburton County and I knew I needed a team behind me to do it.

Seeing this vision come to life through the incredible team of therapists and support staff that we have and the people we support has been the greatest reward. We are humbled and honoured that our clients choose us to walk with them on their journey to mental wellness.

This award is a reminder that meaningful work matters; that when we lead with purpose and compassion, we can create lasting change. This is how I believe leadership and growth occur.
