Although I've resisted making this decision for some time, the time has come and I need to stop accepting new clients for the time being. I will certainly take names and add clients when space opens back up in my schedule. The exception is pregnant women and babies who clearly need to be seen in a timely manner. I remain grateful to be working in such a supportive community and value those of you who refer clients to me. πŸ’œ

September seems to flying by but I am soaking up the last few days when the door can be wide open. I was scheduled to be off next Monday the 26th but I've decided to work so if you are looking for an appointment - now's your chance. 😊 I will also be heading to another course so I'm away from the office from October 1st until the 11th.

I've just returned from an amazing biodynamics course in Sedona. It was wonderful to have a chance to be with other osteos again. I'm feeling so grateful to be back to learning from a gifted and kind teacher and I'm looking forward to carrying all this goodness into treatment.

Osteopathy dates back to the 1800s? Andrew Taylor Still, the founder of osteopathy and osteopathic medicine, believed that the body is in good health when the musculoskeletal systems are properly aligned. Dr. Still called his practice β€œosteopathy,” combining the two Greek roots for bone – osteon – and suffering – pathos.

In 1892, Dr. Still opened the first osteopathic medical school in the world, the American School of Osteopathy in Missouri, now known as the A.T Still University (ATSU). Since its founding, the practice of osteopathy and support for its students has continued to grow. The OAO is committed to fostering the practice and the professional advancement of its practitioners.
