My two cents on Mother’s Day
A different perspective
Bee 🐝 gentle with everyone please 🙏
This is a HARD one to get right. You are a winner only if you have a good Mom that is in good health or if you are a good Mom and appreciated which doesn’t always happen.
So for so many this day hurts for so many reasons, loss of a good Mom or child, not being able to “achieve Mom status” OR infertility, OR the huge expansiveness of gender issues and all that can bring.
Now for some of the lesser known reasons - either not having a Mom OR as in my case having a vindictive narcissistic manipulator for a Mum. All the things that I heard that Moms are supposed to be was foreign to me. My truth my mum hated me from birth, I didn’t have to do anything “wrong” and it stayed that way on her deathbed. She didn’t want anything to do with me, which was different for my other siblings.
The brighter side. When I lived in Mexico 🇲🇽 Mothers Day was celebrated by all females regardless of their child bearing success. Every female was invited to the party. I liked that very much it felt inclusive and compassionate.
I think of Mother’s Day in more of a Nurturers Day anyone who provides these unconditional gifts should be invited to the party regardless of gender. The fur baby Mom’s and all those who hold others up when they need a soft place to land it should be for you too. So in the spirit of Mexico 🇲🇽 in my heart it is open to all who wear the shoes.
