Interested in learning about how we can promote environmental sustainability through our healthcare choices? A group of UofT medical students at Project Green Healthcare have created an initiative to help healthcare practitioners learn about how we can promote environmental sustainability through the Choosing Wisely Canada family medicine recommendations (https://www.greenchoosingwisely.com/). Participating in this module will help you learn about the environmental impact of our healthcare choices, and tips on how to create a greener healthcare practice. Moreover, all participants who complete the included surveys will be raffled to win one of three $20 gift cards.

Green Choosing Wisely is a tool for family physicians and medical students in Canada to learn about the impacts of healthcare on the environment, and how following the recommendations set by Choosing Wisely Canadaâ„¢ can improve care while the environment.

From 2017 to 2020 about 23 percent of women who fall in the low-risk category had C-sections at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
