The goal of The Next Step Supported Employment Program is to enable young people with differing abilities to learn new skills while gaining valuable work experience. We know that employment in the community adds to the social inclusion of young people with disabilities as their social and employment networks grow. As a result, young people can become more independent and more confident while expanding their own personal horizons.

It is our objective to bridge the gap between high school graduation and paid employment support for young adults who seek our services.

*** UPDATE REGARDING EXTENSION REQUESTS AND ACCOMMODATIONS AT THE LAW SCHOOL

Starting this term, if you have an established accessibility plan, and if extension is a part of your plan, you do not need to fill out forms like before. Instead, you can connect directly with your accessibility advisor and the instructor of the course. I believe in the accessibility plan email, the language should have changed.

If students have a request related to short-term illness or for compassionate reasons, which are not a part of their accessibility plan, there will be a form to fill and submit to our office.
