DIY Body Wash

Body wash is something you use daily 🚿🧼, so it makes sense to know what’s in it 👀📋

Here’s a simple version you can mix yourself 👇✨

🧼 ½ cup unscented castile soap

💧 4 tbsp vegetable glycerin

🥥 3 tbsp fractionated coconut oil

🍊 10 drops essential oil (Citrus Bliss 🍊, Peppermint 🌿❄️, Grapefruit 🍊, Citrus Bloom 🪻or Lime 🍈 all work great)

Add everything to an 8 oz glass pump bottle 🫙

Shake lightly before each use 🔄 to blend.

It lathers well 🫧, smells fresh 🌿🍊, and skips the synthetic fragrance 🚫🧪

DIY Foaming Hand Wash

Store-bought foaming hand soap runs out fast, is expensive, and has ALL KINDS OF CRAP in it under the "fragrance" category of ingredients that doesn't have to be disclosed and is a source of hormone disruption, skin irritation and more! 💸

Making your own is honestly SUPER simple and fun for pennies 🙌

You’ll need: 👇

🧼 2 tsp unscented castile soap or onGuard cleaner concentrate
🥥 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
🫧 1/2 tsp glycerin (can omit but makes suds & great for skin)
🍋 10- 20 drops of your favorite essential oil
💧 Water

Add all ingredients but water to a foaming soap dispenser ✨

Slowly fill the rest with water 💧, leaving space for the pump
Screw the lid on, tip side to side gently to mix without creating a lot of suds, and it’s ready to use ✔️

That’s it 🙌 Your kids could do this and maybe you can train your pet to 😂🐶. You could also use this recipe for a really gentle body wash and just use the castille soap instead of the onGuard.

Dust has a way of showing up five minutes after you just cleaned 😅🧹

And those fluffy feather dusters? 🪶 They mostly just send it flying somewhere else 🌬️😑

If you actually want to trap the dust instead of relocating it 🧽✨, reusable cloths are the way to go ♻️💚

Here’s an easy mix: 👇

💧 2 cups distilled water

🫒 2 tbsp olive oil

🍶 1 tbsp white vinegar

🍋 25 drops Lemon or Lime oil

Cut 3–5 cloth towels into smaller sections ✂️🧻

In a large bowl 🥣, combine the water 💧, olive oil 🫒, vinegar 🍶, and Lemon oil 🍋

Add the cloths 🧽 and let them soak until fully saturated 💦✨

Wring each one out well 💪, roll them up tightly 🔄, and store in an airtight container 🫙

When they start to dry out 😅, just lightly dampen them with water 💧 and they’re ready again 🙌✨

PEACE IS NOT A LUXURY

Why so many women (also men) feel tired, wired, and overwhelmed right now—and 7 gentle things that actually help

Lately, I don’t think most women are just “busy.”

I think many are overstimulated, under-rested, emotionally stretched thin, and carrying far more than people realize.

And that kind of stress does not stay in the mind.
It shows up in the body.

It can look like:

Poor sleep.
A racing mind.
Low patience.
Afternoon crashes.
Headaches.
Sugar cravings.
Feeling tired but wired.
Or simply not feeling like yourself.

Here’s the part I really want to say:

Peace is not a luxury. It is part of health.

Sometimes the most healing things are not dramatic. They are small, repeated signals that tell your body: “You are safe enough to exhale.”

Here are 7 gentle things that actually help:

1. Get morning light.
Step outside for a few minutes after waking up. Light helps tell the brain it is daytime, which can help your body settle better at night.

2. Walk, even if it’s short.
A 10-minute walk is not “too little.” It still counts. Movement helps shift stress and supports better sleep. No gold medal required 😄

3. Create one no-phone pocket in your day.
Even 20–30 minutes without scrolling can help. Sometimes the nervous system needs less input, not more advice.

4. Breathe slower than you feel.
Try this:
Inhale for 4.
Exhale for 6.
Repeat 5 times.
Simple, but powerful.

5. Use aroma to anchor calm.
I love keeping wellness simple:
Balance in the morning.

And honestly, sometimes wellness is very deep and spiritual… and sometimes it is just drinking water, going outside, and not arguing with everybody before noon 😂

Grab a 16 oz spray bottle 🫙 and mix: 👇

🍶 1½ cups white vinegar

💧 ½ cup distilled water

🍊 8 drops of your favorite citrus oil (Lemon 🍋, Wild Orange 🍊, etc.)

Shake before each use 🔄 and spray onto cloth and clean glass or mirrors 🪟✨. I also like it for my iPhone screen and computer touch screen.

Slow drain? Weird smell coming from the sink? 🤔🚰

Before grabbing one of those heavy-duty chemical clog removers 🧪🚫, try this first 🌎

YOU’LL NEED: 👇

🧂 ¼ cup baking soda

🍶 ¼ cup white vinegar

🍊 3 drops Wild Orange (or another citrus oil)

Add the essential oil directly into the drain 💧🚰

Follow with the baking soda 🧂, then pour in the vinegar 🍶

It will fizz right away 🫧✨

Let it sit for about 15 minutes ⏳

A 2026 quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group study examined the effects of inhaled lavender EO on sleep quality in 60 perimenopausal women (ages 45–55) in a primary health care setting.

Participants in the intervention group received lavender essential oil via diffuser nightly for seven consecutive days, using 3 to 5 drops diluted in 100 mL of water and diffused in the bedroom for 30 minutes before bedtime, while the control group received no intervention.

Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The intervention group demonstrated a marked and statistically significant reduction in mean PSQI scores, whereas the control group showed no significant change. Between-group differences were significant at posttest. 🪻

The findings suggest that short-term nightly inhalation of lavender EO may meaningfully improve subjective sleep quality in perimenopausal women, supporting its use as a simple, low-cost, non-pharmacologic intervention in primary care settings, though longer-term randomized trials are warranted.
