Spent a lovely evening speaking about cups with HiveAura's Growth Group yesterday. Full cups, empty cups... Have you checked in with your cup today?
Let's do a quick check-in and practice to bring a little more into our cups π.
1. Take a moment, get comfortable seated, fidget, scratch, and adjust until you feel fully supported.
2. Check in with your breath, just notice.
3. Now, invite a gentle deepening of the breath.
4. Now check in with your feet, using your mind and attention. Feel the floor meeting your feet, feel the chair meeting your buttocks and back.
5. If the mind wanders, as it will, to tasks that need to be done or dramas/stories that are patterned in your brain, once you become AWARE, gently bring your mind and attention back to your breath... Back to your feet on the floor, bum on the chair, back supported.
6. Do this for 2 , 5, 10 minutes. However much time you have to gift yourself.
7. Finish up gently looking around the room, recalibrating to the space. Offer a thank you for something... anything... And then flow on with the rest of your day.
We contribute to our cups with these micro moments of self-care and genuine attention. My mind tries to tell me that a 2 minute practice is not going to do anything, not worth it, blah blah blah haha! Which is another practice of 'enough-ness', but we'll leave that for another day.
All greatness starts with micro shifts and movements.
