Hi folks, I do silicone cupping because it is much more gentle than fire cupping which means you will not bruise and I am able to glide the cups over the entire muscle or group of muscles unlike fire cupping which creates very ugly bruising for days and is more of a stationary technique and there for won't cover as much ground as the silicone cups can! Both have their benefits but if you are looking to increase circulation and improve injury recovery time to superficial muscles and myofascia without ugly bruising that lasts for days, silicone cupping with me is the way to go! When I choose a massage therapist for myself, there's a few things that I look for: Someone who can provide a quiet and cozy environment for treatment to occur. Someone who can provide light to deep tissue according to what the client needs are of course but also someone who can feel what is needed and be intuitive as to their client's needs as well. Someone who gives you the full time you are booked for instead of giving the client way too much time to get on and off the table and the next thing you know, you've gone from getting a 60 min massage to a 45 min massage. Just so you all know this is wrong by our standards of practice and yet I've been to many a massage therapist who are basically jipping their clients time!! Just things to think about when choosing where you want to go for your massage too. Having said that, I of course do things how I would like them done for me!!:).
