Hi folks! A reminder that I have sliding scale treatments as booking option for folks who are on a low income and do not have insurance coverage! There will be a slight change to how these work moving forward. Starting in April I will only have 4 sliding scale openings available per month. These will open up for booking the week before the beginning of each month, and then will be closed when the spots are filled. I ask clients not to book more than one sliding scale appointment each per month. Prices for 60/45/30 min sessions are set on my booking site (starting at $65) but if the price listed is not accessible please reach out via email to saferspacemassage@gmail.com. I wish I could continue having unlimited sliding scale openings, but unfortunately due to the nature of my business and being a self employed person, it has been tricky to maintain. Hopefully I'll be able take off this limit someday - this is my goal!

Sophie Kaufman (they/she) graduated from Eastern College’s Massage Therapy program in June 2023, and is a member in good standing with MTANS. Sophie approaches massage therapy treatment from a trauma-informed care lens. They come to massage therapy with a commitment for holistic healthcare, for all bodies, from all walks of life.
Sophie has worked with clients living with chronic pain, pelvic dysfunction, headaches, stress, anxiety, PTSD, sprains/strains, and has a particular interest in supporting 2SLGBTQ+ clients. She has a passion for making people feel safe in her treatment room, especially those who find traditional healthcare settings challenging. She utilizes myofascial techniques, passive stretching, and joint mobilizations to help clients reach their goals. Sophie focuses on somatic healing and the mind-body connection through their treatments. They have completed continuing education in pelvic pain and dysfunction, cupping, and myofascial release.
In their spare time, Sophie loves to spend time baking, swimming in oceans and lakes, reading
graphic novels at her local library, and taking her cat George for walks.
