We all lose motivation from time to timeโ€ฆ What can you do the next time your motivation decreases?

โญ Be gentle with yourself. Maybe today your body needs rest. Enjoy some rest and โ€œme timeโ€ to reset and be ready to conquer tomorrow.

โญ Break up your to-do list. Sometimes breaking tasks into shorter chunks can help. Not feeling motivated for a 30 minute walk today? Try going for 10 minutes! Do 2 exercises instead of 4!

โญ Take a step back. Sometimes we can become overwhelmed with our goals and to-do lists. This can hinder motivation. Remind yourself WHY you started and WHY you want to keep going.

โญ Sign up for a group activity. Oftentimes working towards a goal with a group can be much more motivating! Having peers and a leader to keep you showing up can be a huge key to success!

Sharing Our Story

Zoomers focuses on providing health services (physiotherapy, massage therapy, occupational therapy) and fitness classes tailored to Halifaxโ€™s 50+ population.

Led by Laura Lundquist, a physiotherapist who has worked in orthopedic and sport physiotherapy for 15 years. As she helped her clients recover from injury, she became passionate about ensuring people are able to โ€œLIVE THE LIFE THEY LOVEโ€. This enthusiasm for healthy living grew into a real interest in healthy active aging.

Laura identified a need for services for adults looking to continue a physically active lifestyle despite new diagnoses or injuries. This is what inspired her to open Zoomers Physiotherapy and Health Solutions in early 2018.

We encourage you to visit us any time for a tour of our warm, friendly and relaxed environment - we would love for you to become part of our community!
