Fall prevention tip: Install handrails on both sides of steps and stairways. Check to make sure all your steps are in good repair and that there are no uneven surfaces, cracks or protruding nails.

The winter season also brings additional challenges, including bad weather and poor road conditions. The Driving and Dementia Roadmap website provides support in helping to navigate the many challenges that driving poses in the context of dementia.

We have space still available in our two upcoming sessions of our U-First!® for Care Partners program! The sessions are in Dartmouth on November 12 & 19, and in Truro on December 4 & 11.

U-First!® for Care Partners is a program for care partners to develop effective strategies to reduce responsive behaviours. The program aims to increase care partner confidence and enhance well-being of both the care partner and those experiencing behaviour changes.
