Sharing some news!

Because we follow the masking policies of NSHA, as of tomorrow you will not be asked to don a mask when you come into the office unless you are feeling ill in which case we would hope you call us to reschedule your appointment.

Thank you to everyone who sticks with us through it all!

Hopefully this won’t be an issue for very long but currently we are experiencing a shortage in masks. We ask if you have your own to please bring to your appointment. We are happy to supply patients with them but unfortunately we cannot provide for family members.

We appreciate your co-operation.

Today we celebrated a second Thanksgiving for our American co-worker while we put up/decorated the employee Christmas tree.

Everything was so tasty. Only things not shown are the turkey (as it was being carved at time of picture) and the pecan pie!

If you can’t find anyone it’s because we are taking a nap 😴

Before cataract surgery, artist and musician Jim McKnight struggled with blurred vision, forcing him and his wife to change their lifestyle.

“My colours were being affected by the yellow haze cataracts give you, and the glare from headlights at night made it difficult to drive,” said Jim.

Last year, more than 17,700 cataract surgeries were completed across the province. Nova Scotia Health’s partnership with Halifax Vision Surgical Centre enabled nearly 1,000 additional cataract surgeries, helping reduce the provincial waitlist by 28% and providing more patients with timely care.

“I’m back to painting, back to my music and I can drive at night without worry,” Jim said. “It really gave me my life back.”
