"Legs up the wall" or Viparita Karani pose for 5- 10 minutes daily, is one of the most helpful poses for~

* relieving tension and stress
* calms the nervous system
* helps improve lymphatic drainage
* improves circulation and digestion
* manages varicose veins
*promotes good sleep

I've started doing this pose 2-3 times daily and noticing a significant benefit especially after the intense workouts I do before work!

Happy Heart & Stroke awareness Month!!

We've all heard the information-

**"Cardiovascular disease is a major health issue in Nova Scotia accounting for the death of more Nova Scotians than any other disease."

**"Cardiovascular disease claims 30%+ of all deaths, making it among the biggest killers in the province".

Not to mention that heart disease and stroke are now becoming the leading killer among women! Time to make ourselves the priority!

We can all do better & do a little more so we're around longer & don't forget about our mental health! It's just as important as physical health!
Stress can take it's toll on us in ways we are not even aware of and alot of us internalize it and it can become unrecognizable!

So what can we do? How can we stop being overwhelmed with this information? Easy- Be selfish and start small! Eat healthy and move more!

Take a yoga class, go for a 30 minute daily walk,
get a MASSAGE πŸ˜‰, meditate, take social media breaks!

There are so many options! Don't wait til you are plagued with a major issue to make a change!

All you have to do is make up your mind and start!
It's NEVER too late!
