Synergy provides active, individualized treatment solutions to improve health, wellness and performance. We use a combination of manual therapy and exercise, empowering our clients to reach their physical goals. Synergy offers one on one physiotherapy treatments, as well as group exercise classes.

What is PhysioPilates? It’s simple: Physiotherapy + Pilates.

We combine our physiotherapy expertise in injury prevention, treatment, and active aging with the principles of Pilates to create a space where you can build strength and improve mobility safely and effectively.

Every client is assessed, with individual attention and modifications provided so you can work toward your own goals.

Our classes aren’t drop-in. You join a weekly class with the same group, building consistency, connection, and a sense of community as you progress together.

And most importantly - this isn’t a trend.

Our classes are led by physiotherapists, experts in movement and exercise, making PhysioPilates part of your health care and how you stay strong, mobile, and active for life.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month.

For many people living with endometriosis, the journey to diagnosis and treatment can be incredibly long. The current waitlist for the Endometriosis Clinic at the IWK is over two years, and even getting a referral to a gynaecologist can take years. In fact, the average time to diagnosis is about 10 years.

To help support people navigating this journey, we have reduced the price of our Pelvic Pain Clinic by half, for anyone currently on the waitlist for the IWK Endometriosis Clinic.

This 6-week workshop, taught by Jalisa, focuses on education, movement, and strategies to help people better understand and manage pelvic pain.

🗓 Tuesdays | May 19 – June 23
🕕 6:15 PM
💲110*

* Please note, all classes are billed as Group Physiotherapy and are covered by many extended health insurance plans, making movement an ongoing part of your health care. As well, if you are brand new to Synergy, we include a FREE 30 min physiotherapy assessment with your registration.

📩 If you are currently on the IWK Endometriosis Clinic waitlist and would like to learn more about joining the class, please reach out to the clinic.

Raising awareness and supporting people living with pelvic pain is an important part of the work we do at Synergy.

March 15th is International P***s Day.

It’s a day to recognize and talk openly about health concerns including issues that often go undiscussed - like chronic testicular pain.

Chronic testicular pain is defined as pain in one or both testicles that persists or occurs repeatedly for more than 6 months and leads someone to seek medical care. In many cases, medical testing rules out causes such as infection or cancer - yet the pain remains.

Despite the absence of a clear diagnosis, this condition can have a significant impact on quality of life, affecting work, social interactions, sexual health, and mental well-being.

Research shows that pelvic floor muscle dysfunction may play an important role in these cases. Overactivity of the pelvic floor muscles can contribute to pain as well as urinary, bowel, or sexual symptoms.

This is where pelvic health physiotherapy can help.

A trained pelvic health physiotherapist can assess and treat the pelvic floor muscles using specialized techniques to help address the underlying cause of symptoms.

At Synergy Physio + Pilates, our pelvic health physiotherapy team is trained to assess and treat pelvic floor dysfunction for people of all genders.

If you have questions or would like to learn more, reach out to the clinic to speak with our team.
