Greetings MRA members,

We're writing to let you know that the biannual meeting of the Micmac Rights Association will occur from 12-5pm at the Best Western Glengarry, in Truro, Nova Scotia (Mi'kma'ki) from 12pm - 5pm on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025.

You need to be a member in good standing of the MRA to attend. If you know someone who wants to come who's not a member, have them fill out the form at www.micmacrights.com/join.

Members of the MRA are also required to pay their yearly membership dues in order to attend. The membership fee is a year donation of your choice and may be sent via e-transfer to micmacrights@gmail.com (put membership fee in the e-transfer note), or may be paid in cash at the meeting on Nov 29th.

We still have to figure out the exact agenda, but some items to expected are:

1. Report from executive
2. Legal committee update
3. Fishing committee update
4. Hunter's Mountain update
5. Band Council Cannabis and To***co law updates
6. MRA Finances update
7. Selection of new MRA executive
8. Other business

There will be snacks and coffee and sandwiches available at the meeting, so please reply to this email if you're coming just to give us a sense of numbers for the day.
