The Security House is located at 1252 LeMarchant Street. This is where we hangout, sell parking passes and manage a small list & found. Stop by any time!

Stop by if you ever need anything or just want to chat! Our new Community Outreach Office is located in room 204 in the Life Sciences Centre. A place you can come for support, advice or just to chat. On Halifax campuses, Security Services main office is located on the Parkade Level of the Marion McCain Arts & Social Sciences Building. Security Services on Dalhousie Agricultural Campus is located in the Dairy Building. Our service is provided 365 days per year, with 24 hour coverage by vehicle, bicycle and foot patrols. All officers have received training in first aid, (many qualified as Advanced Medical First Responders)

Our Community Outreach Office has extensive experience in emergency response procedures, conducting threat assessments, crime prevention assessments and individualize safety plans to support survivours of sexual violence and other forms or harassment. In Halifax, to report an EMERGENCY in progress, call 4109. This number is accessible, coin-free, from any pay-phone on University property, as well as all other University telephones. Off campus and cellular telephones must dial (902)494-4109. For emergencies on the Agricultural Campus, Dal Security can be contacted at 893-4190.

Nothing wrecks spooky fun like a $1000 COVID-19 infraction ticket. (Eric is pushing to make these the new uniform pants... 👍🏾 or 👎🏾)

Never underestimate the value of a customer loyalty program!! A car key was turned into us with a tag on it. In less than 5 mins, with their help, we were able to get a message to the owner that we had the key at our office. Turns out it was lost about a year ago and would have cost $100s to replace.

Not everyone moved out of residence just yet. This cute little creature followed one of our officers around this morning on her rounds so, we found a cage, some food, and just like that - the world is a little better off for this one. 💙
