The CMTA is trying to get Massage Therapy exempt from HST. Why is this important?? As an RMT, we are the only health care provider that has to charge and collect HST. By passing this bill, it puts us as Massage therapists on a level playing field with other health care professionals. We are not a “good” to be taxed, we are a health care service. This is why your massage therapy treatments cannot be filed as a tax deduction for health care at the end of the year.

How would HST exemption benefit clients?
RMT’s would be considered equal within the health care profession which would help with legislating our profession
We would be able to lower our prices since we wouldn’t be collecting HST anymore. This could mean more treatments in the span of a year.
I encourage all my clients to use the QR code to sign the petition. I also have one in the clinic that clients can use as well.

The clinic will be closed from January 1st to 7th. I will not be replying to emails/phone calls or texts in regards to massage until I return back on the 8th. Please note as of January 15th there will be a $5 increase to all massage prices. TIA for your understanding and have a great holiday!!!

Hi everyone, just a quick update. I’m hoping to be open the beginning of October. The renovations haven’t started yet, but hopefully next week! Like everyone, contractors are in high demand ☹️

For those of you not aware, my clinic was impacted by the flooding a few weeks ago. I am now closed again while they remove contents and start the repairs. Here’s hoping it won’t be as long a closure as the first one. I will update everyone when I’m back up and running. Thank you for your patience and understanding ❤️

Well, here we go again. As I’m sure many of you are also dealing with the same nightmare of basement flooding, this recent stretch of rain and storms has flooded half of the basements on my street, including mine, again. Since I still have no power, I’m not able to access the damage to the electrical in my treatment room. There will be a long wait I’m sure to have someone come back in to assess the new damage and again rebuild what was damaged.
At this time, I’m unsure if it will be possible to continue working in my clinic space, but it’s very likely I will have to close again.
Once I have more details I will update everyone.

UPDATE:

It looks like it will still be another couple weeks before the basement renovations are completed. Really hoping to be back open by the middle of the month and will keep you updated

TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Unfortunately my treatment room sustained extensive water damage last weekend due to a burst pipe. As of Monday May 15th, I will be closed until the restoration company can dry out the clinic, and complete the repairs.
This is an unforeseen inconvenience for all of us, and I do truley apologize. I will let everyone know when I’m able to open back up. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will be for the first week of June.
In the meantime, if you’re interested in mobile massage treatments in your home, please reach out to me. They will be limited due to travel time.
