This Float Ambassador Friday we have a beautifully written blog from 😍☁️

".......... I had just reached the end of a stressful busy period and was offered a free float. I was in a tough spot in my life, feeling displaced, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. Everything felt loud, busy, and demanding. I didn’t need more stimulation or advice. I needed space. Real space. Floating gave me that.

From the moment I entered the tank, the outside world began to disappear. The water held me effortlessly, warm and still, and as the minutes passed, the usual signals my body relies on, sound, sight, gravity, slowly faded away. There was no one else to perform for, no role to play, no expectations to meet. Just me, suspended in quiet.

What surprised me most was how familiar it felt. Floating brings me back to the way I thought as a kid, when being alone didn’t mean loneliness, but freedom.
There’s something powerful about experiencing the world without anyone else in it. Outside the tank, so much of who we are is shaped by interaction, conversations, responsibilities, reactions, noise. Floating strips all of that away. In that silence, I’m reminded that I exist beyond my productivity, beyond how I’m perceived, beyond the roles I play........" Maybe you too are feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed lately? Maybe floating can help you return home to yourself like it did for Ziad. So happy they shared this piece with us. 🥹 We love you !!!💜💜💜

The power in our building needed to be turned off due to an electrical issue with one of our panels. We’re waiting on NSPI to give us a time that they can come by to have a look. We have an electrician onsite (bless his heart) who made the call to shut down due to safety issues.

We are so sorry to have to cancel appointments today. Truly a bummer with so many new faces coming in. We will get you rebooked once we can turn our computer back on!

Happy , this week's blog is about floating with chronic pain from 🩶🛟🫧

"....Since I've become a float ambassador I hardly get sick anymore because I feel like my body isn't on contact fight mode with my immune system on top of my chronic pains. To me this has given me opportunity to enjoy things I would usually never get to do cause in the past I would be on the floor fighting a flair up!
Now one thing to mention is just going once won't change it right away, if you are able to keep it consistent and find it to help with your health then you will be able to start seeing results :) I find I can work full time as a barista now and I'm not kneeling over in pain by the end of the week...." 🥲☕️

To keep reading the rest of how floating with chronic pain has helped them see improvements follow the link in our bio. Thanks so much to Kristal for sharing on such a vulnerable topic!! WE LOVE YOU!💚🥹

‼️We now have contact with the contractor who will be doing their best to update us as the work progresses. Our intention is to send out an email to folks on the schedule for the day *if*we think the activities may interfere with the “sensory deprivation” aspect of their float.

Depending on the location of the rock breaking equipment, we have found that the disturbance can range from “barely noticeable” to “definitely, yup”. This is sporadic and will be ongoing for the next 3-4 months.

Blasting only happens a few times a day and a rumble is felt throughout the building. Guests who experienced it while floating have shared that it didn’t bother them because they knew what it was. We also recognize many of the folks who visit us are using our services for PTSD and this disruption would NOT be cool.

Things that help:
💕Wear your ear plugs
💕Use the neck rest(s)

💤 Sensory friendly times: No activity on evenings (5pm onwards) and weekends. 💤

Our RMTs use white noise machines and soothing music during their treatments which creates a calming atmosphere while masking the background noise. They are happy to adjust their volume levels while treating to accommodate your preferences.

We want you to know that this will only be going on for 3-4 more months. If you’re looking for ways to support us during this time, but don’t want to visit, please pop to our website to grab a gift card. It really, truly helps & we appreciate it. 🙏

While this sucks, there ain’t nothing we can do about it except be accommodating and transparent as best we can. We thank you SO MUCH for your understanding & patience. We sure can use a lil’ bit of it right now.

XOXO
Team TFC

PS We bought Pearl a weighted vest to help soothe her anxiety. She isn’t a fan of the activities but would rather come in to hang out than stay home by herself all day.
