Milo says please ensure that you are hydrating your beautiful self and taking breaks - not only when you need them but also - regularly to maintain some level of baseline wellness 💙
We are constantly surrounded by and enduring endless tragedies, systems of oppression are applying so much pressure, the world is quite literally on fire - there is no answer, no quick fix, everything is complicated and HEAVY. One thing is for certain, we can’t do anything or help anyone if we are burnt to a crisp and completely depleted. Self-care and community-care are so important , now , then , always and forever.
Here are some things to check in on:
✨Am I taking care of my physical health concerns? Am I taking my medications? Am I seeking help when it’s needed and attending my appointments?
✨Am I able to eat something? Can I access a food bank, a local program with snacks or a community fridge in my area?
✨What is my intake on mood altering substances looking like right now? Is it helping me or harming me, and how am I feeling about it?
✨Am I getting enough sleep? Am I taking enough breaks and getting enough rest? Am I getting time where I can just do nothing and exist?
✨Am I moving my body in a way that feels good or nourishing enough?
These things don’t fix the problems of the world , but they do help give us a footing in having capacity to hold space and care for others, educate ourselves and work towards change 🫶✨
