This Occupational Health Nursing Week, we celebrate the history, impact, and leadership of Occupational Health Nurses.

Occupational Health Nursing has evolved over decades, from early industrial health efforts focused on workplace injuries to a specialized field dedicated to prevention, safety, and worker well-being.

Today, Occupational Health Nurses play a vital role in:
• Protecting workers from occupational hazards
• Supporting respiratory protection and infection prevention
• Promoting health, safety, and wellness in the workplace
• Legal and regulatory compliance
• Guiding organizations in creating safer environments

As workplace health challenges continue to evolve, the role of Occupational Health Nurses becomes even more essential.

--Evidence-based Insight: A bounding (strong, forceful) pulse may signal anemia, fever, or sepsis. It warrants further investigation by a health care professional.
--Bounding pulse - is an important finding during physical examination, which can provide clues about a patient's health.
