Education & Innovation Excellence Joseph’s Healthcare one of the teaching hospitals affiliated with McMaster University.

The Centre for Minimal Access Surgery (CMAS) was established in 1999 as a joint initiative of the Faculty of Health Sciences and St. The primary goal of CMAS is to provide training in advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery to surgical residents and practicing surgeons across Canada and North America.

Over the last 2 days McMaster and NOSM general surgery residents have come together for the annual CMAS Advanced Resident Laparoscopic Surgery Course. It’s been two days full of talks, video review and hands on learning that included personalized coaching for each resident.

We are back for our first lab of the year! Our Gyne residents are honing their laparoscopic skills with handson practice in the lab.
