Let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ...

Marriage rules to live by

Never cause your spouse to be a Detective.
There is nothing your spouse should not know about.
Always be open, transparent, reachable and accessible at all times.
Be where you said you would be.
If the unexpected happens as they sometimes do, call your spouse and keep them in the loop.
If you are planning on doing something you think your partner might be uncomfortable with, then dont do it.
If you have a friendship or relationship that your spouse should not know about, then you should not have that friendship or relationship.
If you have anything on your phone that you do not want your spouse to see, then you shouldn't have that thing on your phone in the first place.
If you receive calls or text messages that you do not want your spouse to hear or read then you shouldn't be receiving them and the numbers should be blocked from your phone.
There is no room for secrets in a relationship. Give your spouse open access to your entire life at all times.
Take my advice and always remember...

Our father Joe always told us that he wanted to remain at home until the very end of his days. At the beginning of his Dementia diagnosis, Dad was managing fairly well given that he was living on his own. When things began to deteriorate for Dad and he lost his licence, it was tough to see Dad's world become smaller. Although the family pitched in as much as possible, we knew it would be a long journey and we needed help. It was only through word of mouth and pure luck that we discovered Smiljana and the "athome care services" she provided. Smiljana and her team were amazing with our Dad. They provided the much needed socialization, outings and companionship Dad so desperately needed and so much more. Especially through the Covid epidemic when all of Dad's senior programs and activities were shut down. As Dad's needs changed and deteriorated, Smiljana and her team continued to step up whether it was increasing work duties, work hours/day, number of work days/week etc. Smiljana was also able to provide overnight coverage as needed to give the family a break. Dad spoke so highly of Smiljana and her team members, including Rebecca, JC and Everlene. Smiljana and her team are dedicated to supporting seniors stay at home as long as possible and they work diligently and professionally. The family could not have made Dad's wish of remaining at home as long as possible come true had it not been for Smiljana and her team. We will always be grateful for all they did for our Dad.
