One thing the recent Artemis II mission reminded us is that we are one on our shared home, Earth. (And a huge shout-out to Canadian Space Agency Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen for his stellar role in this fascinating deep space exploration. You made Canada so proud!)
Tomorrow, and every April 22, is International Earth Day, a helpful annual reminder of our collective role as stewards of our earth and our own communities.
This week especially, consider ways you can help preserve our city's beautiful parks, trails, streets, and public spaces.
There are a number of initiatives you can partake in, with details found at this link https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/environmental-stewardship/community-environmental-initiatives/team-clean or by scanning the QR code in the image.
You can also take advantage of a Spring Compost Giveaway happening on April 25 from 7:00am - 12:00pm in Ward 7's Turner Park. https://www.hamilton.ca/things-do/festivals-events/events-calendar/spring-compost-giveaway-4
Also, this Saturday, April 25th, from 9am till noon, there is a Concession Street 'Beautiful Alleyways' cleanup where you can meet at 534 Concession St (BIA office). For any questions or clean-up supplies for clean-up in your own area, contact Faye Grasley, grasleyfaye@gmail.com. 🌍
