“The holiday season can often be a stressful time, bringing reminders of grief, painful memories, relationship struggles, feelings of being overworked, or financial difficulties. As a result, you might feel sad, overwhelmed, anxious, lonely or guilty. It is important to remember that it is okay to honor those feelings.

Please be kind to yourself. We are all wired with creative ways to face our difficulties, and you have the inner strength to navigate this period. Remember to know your triggers, set necessary boundaries, say no when you need to, and seek help if necessary”

Thank Faith, our therapist here at BODYMIND, for sharing these grounding and compassionate words. Her reminder helps us pause, breathe, and approach the holiday season with more gentleness toward ourselves and others.🌲☺️

Your body often signals what your mind hasn’t caught up to, sometimes through intuition, sometimes through old protective patterns.

Learning to notice the difference can help you respond with curiosity and care, rather than reacting out of habit or pressure.🍃

You know that quiet sound in your mind and body you might sometimes sense?

Like a gentle hum?

Sometimes our nervous system gets so used to being overstimulated, that calmness can feel uncomfortable, even odd.

But what if that hum is your inner signal of safety?

A soft, steady pulse inviting you to slow down and tune in.

Try listening closely... you may be surprised at what waits for you on the other side of stillness.

Thank you, Pauline! Your words landed at just the right time.☺️

Holidays can get wild and noisy, but you remind us that even in the swirl we can breathe, slow down, and find our footing again. 🙌

Grateful for the nudge to savour the simple joys, hug the ones who make us feel like home, and make this season all about love, laughter, and what truly matters.🎄

Thank you, Karla, for this gentle reminder we didn’t know we were craving. 😇

In a season filled with expectations and ‘shoulds,’ your words give us permission to pause, breathe, and choose what truly supports our hearts.

Grateful for this little spark of clarity and for the permission to make this season a bit lighter, kinder, and a whole lot more 'us'.🎄☺️

Kenzie Appreciation Post ✨

Meet Kenzie, one of the bright, welcoming souls on our BODYMIND Collective team!

As a Care & Connection Specialist, she makes every interaction feel smooth, reassuring, and genuinely caring. Her calm presence and attentive listening help people feel at home from the very first conversation.☺️

Kenzie’s love for connection doesn’t stop at work she brings people together through creativity and community. She runs macramé workshops, weaving not just knots but shared experiences, and is exploring herbalism, diving into the world of plant medicine and holistic wellness. Nature, crafts, and meaningful human connection are where she shines brightest.☀️

Her intuitive nature, playful sense of humor, and thoughtful heart make her someone we’re endlessly grateful for.

Kenzie brings light, ease, and warmth to everything she touches, and we’re lucky to have her on the team!🍃🐿️☀️

Sometimes “over-functioning” is the part of you that worked the hardest to keep connection alive. 🤯

From a parts- and trauma-informed lens, this isn’t a flaw. It’s a protective strategy that formed in relationship, often long before you had words for it.

Many people learn to over-function in families, cultures, or systems where being “easy,” capable, or self-sufficient was how connection was maintained.

If that resonates, you might notice what happens in your body as you read this: Is there tightness, softening, bracing, relief, numbness, something else?

These responses often tell the story before our words do. And this kind of curiosity can open space for a different kind of connection, one that doesn’t require you to carry so much.

Receiving support can make room for more help, more rest, and more you.🍃

As we move into the month of December, with the holiday season upon us, we want to gently acknowledge that this time of year is not easy or joyful for everyone. 🎄

For many, it brings a mix of emotions like tenderness, grief, longing or the quiet ache of feeling out of sync with the celebrations around them.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing brief reflections from our therapy team, offering perspectives and small points of grounding. Our hope is to open a conversation and create a community of care for anyone who feels alone or overwhelmed during this season.🫶🪾❄️

Today, we’re starting with a few words from our clinic owner, Zoë, on what the holidays can bring up and the considerations that might help you move through them with more gentleness.

We’d love to hear from you, if you feel comfortable sharing:
What feels most tender or triggering about the holidays for you?
Is there anything you’re needing support with this month?

Let us know below and we will try to touch on it in our shares this month ⬇️🌻
You’re not alone in whatever this season stirs up.

Sometimes the holidays pull us back into old patterns of doing, pleasing, or managing.😩🌲

Let these words be gentle reminders that you’re allowed to stay connected to yourself, too.✨

Even a small pause counts.🍃

Idel Appreciation Post ✨

We’re so grateful to have Idel as part of our Care & Connection team. She’s often the first calming presence people encounter when reaching out to BODYMIND Collective. Idel brings a thoughtful, grounding energy to every interaction, offering support that is both practical and deeply human.

Her background in community care, group facilitation, and holistic practices shines through in the way she listens and creates a sense of safety in client interactions. Outside the clinic, Idel’s work in the birthing sphere continues this thread of care as she supports women through birth, postpartum, and womb healing with tenderness and wisdom.

We feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of the BODYMIND Collective team.🙏🏽☀️
