📣 Join our Peer Support Program!

The Obodo Maternal Health program provides community-based, culturally responsive care—supporting prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal health for underserved communities. Our cultural breastfeeding clinic offers tailored support to families, focusing on breastfeeding education, initiation, and continuation—while honoring each family’s cultural beliefs and traditions.

We’re recruiting **10 peer supporters** with lived breastfeeding experience. You’ll join our team to support new parents as they learn to breastfeed—encouraging, affirming, and nurturing families in culturally meaningful ways. **Training is provided** and you’ll be accompanied by staff.

Everyone deserves dignified, barrier-free access to menstrual health. That’s why we provide free menstrual products, holistic health education, and gender‑affirming care to support every person who menstruates.

Obodo Maternal Health is now at Hamilton Urban Core — a community-based, culturally responsive program supporting Black and other equity-deserving mothers through prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care. 💛

We’re recruiting 10 Peer Supporters with lived breastfeeding experience to walk alongside new moms—honouring culture, traditions, and choice. Training is provided and you’ll work with our staff.

We’re also running a research study to strengthen culturally aware maternal care. If you’re expecting, a new mom, or have breastfeeding experience, join an online survey or an in-person focus group. As a thank-you, you’ll receive a $25 Walmart gift card.

🌙 Ramadan Iftar – Community Gathering 🌙
During the month of Ramadan, Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre, in partnership with MAH, will be preparing and serving Iftar meals every Thursday for those observing the fast.

While Iftar is an Islamic tradition, everyone is welcome—people of all faiths and backgrounds—to join us in an evening of service, reflection, and community.
