❄️ Winter Weather Advisory ❄️

For consistency and safety, our clinic follows McMaster University’s closure decisions during winter weather.

If the University announces a closure, all in-person appointments will be converted to phone appointments. Patients will be contacted by our staff on the day of their appointment, and the phone visit will take place at the same scheduled time.

Please note that no staff will be in the office, and clinic phone lines will not be monitored.

The clinic will be closed Monday May 19th for Victoria Day. For any urgent medical issues that can't wait until the clinic reopens for regular clinic hours on Tuesday, you can access our on call service for weekend clinic appointments or telephone advice at 905-546-9885.

A very special moment for our MFP family. Mike Spoljar, Nurse Practitioner, had the honour of taking part in the pinning ceremony for one of our Clinic Aides, Eddie Mukubvu, who has now completed the Practical Nursing Program. Congratulations Eddie!

Parking Update

The DBHSC surface parking lot is using the HonkMobile parking system for a trial period.

Here’s what you need to know:

* There are no changes to underground parking. Patients who use the underground parking garage at DBHSC can still receive discounted rates. Bring your parking slip to your appointment to validate it.

* There are no discounted rates for the outdoor surface lot.

* During the HonkMobile trial, gates to the surface lot will be kept open. However, you still need to pay for parking.

* If you park in the surface lot, you must use the HONK app to pay. This app is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

McMaster Family Practice does not manage or control parking. If you have questions or need help, contact McMaster Parking Services at 905-525-9140 ext. 24232 or parking@mcmaster.ca. Additionally, there will be an attendant available onsite to assist you.

The clinic will be closed Friday, March 29th for Good Friday and Monday, April 1st for Easter Monday.

We will be back to our regular clinic hours on Tuesday, April 2nd at 8:30am.

In a vibrant display of inclusion, DFM staff, faculty members and residents in Hamilton donned rainbow-coloured shirts throughout the month of June to commemorate Pride Month. Through this colorful gesture, they stood united in celebration of diversity, equality and love within our clinics and workspaces.

When coming together, the various colours became a living rainbow, representing solidarity with the 2SLGBTQ+ community and support of our medical professionals, patients and staff with the message that everyone is welcome.
