Momentum Autism Services

We provide ABA services across Ontario without a wait in response to the growing needs of children and youth with autism and their families.

We are a team of highly skilled and dedicated therapists who care about making a difference. We are approachable, enthusiastic and love what we do! We are a close-knit team with a unique ability to work together to make positive and meaningful changes for the children and families we serve. We are a Ministry-approved ABA provider, qualified to provide services funded through the Ontario Autism Program. We provide ABA services across Hamilton and surrounding areas in homes and the community. We also provide centre-based services for families who prefer therapy outside of their home.

🌟 Employee of the Month Spotlight: Sherlyn Monsorate! 🌟

We’re so excited to celebrate Sherlyn, who has been part of the Momentum team for almost 2 years this December!

Sherlyn holds a B.A. in Applied Psychology along with undergraduate certificates in Autism and Behavioral Science and Mental Health and Disability Management. Her favorite part of working in ABA is “getting to play while making a difference - being part of each child’s progress and knowing that my support helps them grow.” 💛

Outside of work, Sherlyn loves traveling with her family, road trips, bowling, canvas painting, and watching reality shows. Fun fact: she’s passionate about capturing memories through photos and videos and is known for her love of planning and keeping things organized!

We’re so grateful to have Sherlyn on our team - thank you for all that you do!👏

Meet Marta: Our Employee of the Month!🌟

We are so excited to highlight Marta, one of our Lead Instructor Therapists who has been with us for over a year and brings so much dedication to our team. Back in Italy, she worked as a Developmental Educator and now loves being part of the ABA field, and says her favourite part of her job is getting to work with our clients and seeing how much they learn and grow. Outside of work, Marta enjoys hiking, listening to music, and watching TV shows, and a fun fact about her is that she’s also really good at baking!

We are so grateful for everything Marta brings to our team and are thrilled to celebrate her this month!

Back-to-school season is a big transition for many children, especially those who thrive on structure and routine. Preparing ahead can make a meaningful difference in setting them up for success. Here are a few strategies that families often find helpful:

✨Practice morning and after-school routines before the first day so the flow feels familiar.

✨Rehearse important skills such as asking a teacher for help, packing and unpacking the backpack, or opening lunch containers.

✨Visit the school building, walk through key transitions, or listen to recordings of school sounds to reduce uncertainty.

✨Refresh your child’s motivators—interests and reinforcers can shift over the summer, and having updated ones helps maintain engagement.

✨Plan a calming after-school ritual, whether it’s quiet time, sensory play, or a favorite activity, to support the transition from school to home.

Every child’s back-to-school journey is unique. With patience, preparation, and the right supports, small steps can build confidence and independence.

Employee of the Month Spotlight: Mishika!

We are excited to shine the spotlight on Mishika, one of our amazing ABA therapists. This September marks 2 years since Mishika joined the Momentum team and began working in the field of ABA. With a diploma in Autism and Behavioural Science from Mohawk College she brings both expertise and heart to her role every day.

Mishika’s favourite part of her work is seeing meaningful, measurable progress in people’s lives and helping them build valuable skills. She finds it incredibly rewarding to make a real, lasting impact. Outside of work, Mishika loves to travel and explore new places, experiencing different cultures and perspectives — and enjoys spending time reading.

We’re so thankful for the dedication, positivity, and passion Mishika brings to our team every day!
