Just over 2 weeks post kidney transplant and Michelle is doing amazing and enjoying this wonderful weekend weather as her donor makes a short visit to check in on her.

Both are trying to slow down, take the time to heal and making the necessary adjustments in each of their journeys.

We wish them continued health.

UPDATE:
It’s true! Michelle arrived safely at home this afternoon from hospital and is settling in nicely.

There’s no place like home to start the journey towards healing after a kidney transplant.

She is so happy to be home, be with her husband, Rich, and especially give her sweet dog, Pebbles, some loving. 💕

Her donor, Neil, is doing well and is so happy Michelle gets to go home!

Best of luck goes out to both. Thank you for being with us on Michelle’s path to better days 🙏💕🙏

UPDATE: Day 4
Michelle continues to work through her early recovery days with high spirits and hopes. She remains excited to learn from her health care team that her new kidney is doing fantastic and outputting remarkable kidney function levels- they are almost at a normal range!! She is in some discomfort and tries to walk about in small spurts to help the healing process.

She loves getting special attention from her wonderful husband, Rich, who comes for daily visits to support her. Michelle really appreciates all the prayers, calls and texts.

Hoping Michelle has a good night with lots of rest 💕🎗️

UPDATE:
Michelle had a good day. She was up for a walk a few times, feeling well managed with her pain, but the best news is that her new kidney is doing an excellent job already!! Her kidney function has been impressive with massively improved numbers.

She is feeling grateful for her donor, Neil Hunt, who came for a short visit on his way home to rest- that’s less than 36 hours after giving Michelle a kidney!! Her surgeon said that the new kidney is one of the best ones he’s ever seen.

Continued best wishes to Michelle and her donor. We’ll keep you posted on further updates soon…❤️‍🩹🙏🎗️
