Quiet holiday joy over here. Hosted, laughed, fed everyone, cleaned up… and now I’m tired and happy. My daughter had a really good day and my heart feels full.

A little reminder (to you and to me): peace doesn’t have to be big. Sometimes it’s just a steady day that goes well.

Happy holidays 🤍

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate 🤍Wishing you a day with a little more warmth and peace.

If you notice yourself slipping into an old role this season, pause — one long breath — and come back to present you.

“I’ve grown. I see the pattern. I can respond differently.”
Maybe that looks like changing the subject, saying less, asking a question instead of defending yourself, or setting a quiet boundary.

You can be different, even if nothing else changes. 🎄

Strength isn’t one thing.
Some days it looks steady and grounded. Other days it’s softer, quieter, or held together by the smallest thread.

You don’t have to feel strong to be strong.
You don’t have to move perfectly to be making progress.

Resilience is often messy, flexible, human.
And the truth is — you’ve made it through 100% of your hardest days so far.

The moments that stretch us rarely feel brave in real time. They feel uncertain, uncomfortable, and anything but clear.
Still — they’re the moments that reshape our lives.

Big decisions activate the nervous system, even when they’re healthy or necessary. Fear doesn’t mean “stop.” It often means “this matters.”

When you can anchor back into your authentic self — your grounded inner voice rather than fear or noise — you create space to move through discomfort with intention.

Progress won’t always feel good.
But it can still be right.

Many of us learned early on to play roles — the helper, the strong one, the peacekeeper.

These “masks” were our nervous system’s way of staying connected and safe.
In therapy, we don’t tear them off — we listen to what they’re trying to protect.

Healing begins with compassion for every part of you — even the ones that learned to hide. 🎃

If relationships feel like a constant push and pull, there’s usually a reason.

Earlier this week, I shared a Reel about insecure attachment as a survival strategy.
This carousel goes deeper into what that means and how it can show up in everyday life.

When love felt confusing or unpredictable in childhood, we learned ways to protect ourselves.
These patterns — anxious, avoidant, or disorganized — helped us survive.
But as adults, they can make closeness feel complicated or unsafe.

The first step in healing is understanding where these patterns come from.
The next steps are what we can explore together in therapy.

Save this if it resonates, and share it with someone who is doing their own healing work.

PMDD can feel like a monthly storm — awareness and compassion can change lives.

PMDD can feel like a monthly storm — awareness and compassion can change lives.

PMDD doesn’t just change your mood. It can completely upend your life.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe form of PMS that causes significant emotional and physical distress every month. It’s characterized by a range of debilitating symptoms from depression and anxiety to suicidal ideation. Yet, despite affecting 3–8% of women of reproductive age, PMDD is still often dismissed as “just PMS.”

In a powerful new essay, award-winning writer Chloe Laws shares what it really feels like to live with PMDD, and why getting support can feel like an uphill battle.

Sharing stories like this one can be a lifeline, as well as a step toward greater recognition, diagnosis, and better treatment.
