Feeling so much gratitude after our very first spa night at BodynSole 💛✨️
What a beautiful evening filled with relaxation, connection, and self-care. Guests enjoyed a 75-minute foot treatment, a 75-minute minute indian head and face massage, oracle cards refreshments, snacks, a special gift, and most importantly time to truly slow down and receive.
There's something so special about creating space for people to rest, reset, and be taken care of. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and made our first spa night such a success.

Tanisha (Nisha) is a Registered Massage Therapist with an honours diploma in Clinical Massage Therapy and advanced training as a Fascial Stretch Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Functional Movement Specialist. After overcoming chronic pain following a 2010 car accident, she developed a client-focused approach that blends therapeutic techniques and movement principles to support relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being.
Tim Tanner, RMT began his career in Health and Fitness and progressed from Personal Training to advanced Fascial Stretch Therapy and Massage Therapy. With diplomas in Fitness and Health Promotion and Massage Therapy, along with Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapy certification, Tim integrates therapeutic massage, fascial work, and movement-based strategies to reduce pain, restore function, and support long-term mobility and wellness.
April Lee is an experienced Aesthetic Clinician, Nail Technician, and Massage Practitioner with over 13 years in wellness and aesthetics. She specializes in lymphatic facials, wellness foot treatments, and relaxation massage using hot stones and essential oil blends. Today I was reflecting on chronic pain.
🤲For over 25 years I helped clients manage chronic pain by providing massage therapy treatments.
☀️More importantly, I provided a safe space for those clients to express their feelings about living with chronic pain and how it affected their relationships, careers, and mental health. I allowed them the freedom to speak their truth, without judgment, regardless of how ugly they were feeling that day. These clients are warriors and some of the strongest people I have ever met.
🎁I learned many great insights about the lives of chronic pain warriors and from the caregivers that supported them.
🤹♀️One insight was the difficulty in maintaining their homes. They reserved most of their energy to show up at their jobs, attend their children's events, and perform the necessary tasks of daily life. Most of them put everyone else first even though they were suffering.
👵A major concern for these same clients was aging with chronic pain. They were concerned with how their lives may be more restrictive OR that they may be forced to retire early. So, they weren't just living with stress, worry, and pain in the present moment, they spent hours and abundant energy worrying about their future.
🏡Now, I draw from my healthcare education and experience and apply it to my recent training to assess, plan, and create safe and accessible living spaces for chronic pain warriors and their families and/or caregivers to age independent, comfortable, and empowered.

One thing that I absolutely love to do is start my day with a morning walk. It gives me a chance to start my day off in a more relaxed, centred and peaceful state.
Bring outdoors in the morning is great for nervous system regulation for a few reasons. The first is you start your day off with a nice dose of vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential to good mental and physical health. Sunlight in the morning will help give your vitamin D levels a natural boost.
Second, being outdoors helps bring us more in to a relaxed state. That is it moves us from a high sympathetic state into a more ventral vagal or parasympathetic state. Starting your day off in a more rested state can help you be ready to tackle the tasks of the day with more ease.
Third, mornings walks can introduce curiosity and play into on your day as you discover new things in your environment. curiosity and play are important for us adults too! Play brings joy to life and can also help bring us into our resting state.
So what is in a morning walk? An opportunity for more connection to ourselves, our environment and the felt sense of joy! If you are looking for ways to bring more connection, ease and joy into your life, I highly recommend introducing a morning walk into your routine. Your nervous system will thank you!
