Beginnings is licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to provide adoption services in Ontario. Beyond Ontario, we can provide adoption services on a case by case basis in provinces and territories that have provision for private adoption

This month's pick: Before We Met by Laura Krauss Melmed is a heartfelt picture book that captures the deep bond between a mother and her unborn child. Through gentle, rhyming verses, the mother reflects on her dreams and anticipations before meeting her baby, using the refrain "Before we met, I dreamt..." to convey her emotions. The illustrations by Jing Jing Tsong complement the text, transitioning from deep, dreamy colors to vibrant hues as the story progresses, symbolizing the journey from anticipation to the joy of meeting the child.
