The movement started in 2003 to encourages men to grow moustaches to spark conversations about men's health issues, including mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
Whether you grow a moustache or not, the aim is to be proactive with your health and not to wait for a diagnosis.

For the last 8 years each November, I have been fundraising for Essential Aid.
Essential Aid is an organization that supplies only the essentials for your little ones.
Diapers, Formula, Baby food, Baby wipes.

We often hear the saying, “Behind every great man is a woman,” but the truth is, behind every successful person—regardless of gender—there is often a circle of unwavering support.
In my case, I can say with absolute certainty that I would not be able to do what I do without the love, encouragement, and strength of my husband and my daughter.
In business, especially when you're building something meaningful, the hours are long, the decisions are heavy, and the pressure can be intense. It’s easy to doubt yourself or feel overwhelmed. That’s where family support becomes invaluable. When your spouse or family believes in your vision, even on the days when you struggle to believe in it yourself, it gives you the courage to keep going.
Their support isn’t just emotional—it’s practical too. It’s the extra hands when you’re stretched thin, the understanding when plans change, the patience during late nights, and the quiet acts of love that allow you to show up strong in your business. They are the ones who celebrate your wins, catch you in your losses, and remind you why you started in the first place.
So while people might see the business owner, the leader, or the entrepreneur on the surface, what they don’t always see is the foundation of support at home—holding everything steady. And for me, that foundation is my incredible husband and my daughter. I am endlessly grateful for them.

This year, husband and wife team Murray and Eunice McMahon celebrate 25 years as natural health retailers. The owners of the Good Health Mart chain – with 12 stores in Ontario - entered the world of retailing later in life. In fact, this was a second career for both. Murray had been in advertising and Eunice had been a secondary school teacher.
“I had spent many years as a commission salesman and then 17 years in the ad business, 15 of which in my own agency,” says Murray.
Suddenly, the recession of 1989/1991 hit and Murray says it was not kind to the ad and print industry. Murray was ready for a change, so when an opportunity came up to buy a store in Woodbridge, he jumped on it.
Buying a health food store didn't completely come out of left field, as Murray had been using supplements for over 14 years and read extensively on natural health. His interest in natural health began in his mid 30’s when he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. “It was not really serious or life threatening” says Murray. “After several sessions with a naturopath, and taking her supplements, low and behold, within three months, my condition improved dramatically. This led me to investigate natural health medicine and so when the opportunity to buy a store presented itself, it was a no-brainer.”
Eunice was completely on board as well. She took a one year sabbatical as an educator in 1993 to help set things up, paint the store and learn about the products so she could serve customers. Five years later, Eunice would join full time.
