Do you ever think about why you believe the things you do? 🤔🧐💊This question is so critical especially during this ♊️ season and for the next 18 months, where we have the north and south nodes in ♊️ and ♐️...


Often, your most important beliefs are unconscious. Over 90% of beliefs that you currently hold you downloaded from ages 0-7 from your parents or caregivers, school, culture, religion and especially the media. ⠀

These views run the greater part of your life and determine if you’re going to be happy or unhappy, rich or poor, healthy or unhealthy, and broad-minded or narrow-minded on different topics. They create your consciousness. ⠀


And when you have a deeply held belief, your cognitive system only acts in ways that reinforce and validate that belief even if it restricts TF out of who you really are on a soul level. ⠀
That’s why questioning and challenging your core beliefs is fundamental because It can free you from all kinds of limitations in life, including fear and living according to what’s right for someone else but not for you.⠀ ⠀

You’ll want to keep the questions in your back pocket the next time you challenge a belief?


1.When did You first start believing _________?⠀


2.Who taught you______or where were you first exposed to this?⠀


3.Intuitively, how do you feel about it? ⠀


4.Did you ever question this teaching or seek to educate yourself on the issue from various “multiple” opposing sources?⠀



5.What would it mean if you changed your mind on this issue? Who would it affect? ⠀


6.Have You ever discussed this issue with someone who disagrees or sees it in a different way?⠀


7.Does this belief still work for you, or is it limiting you in any way? Is there a more authentic or aligned belief You’d prefer to believe?⠀


Also, Questioning and being curious about your beliefs does not necessarily mean changing them.Believe what you want but be careful what you read, learn and hear without every questioning why? Especially if something feels off. It usually is...

Acceptance isn’t about forcing yourself to let go of something because you “should,” when you aren’t actually able to let go. .

It’s also not Convincing yourself that you are “okay” with something or someone when you aren’t. That’s inauthentic. .

And let’s be honest, There’s nothing more awful than forcing yourself to be ok with or to like the stuff you don’t. .

The first step to true Acceptance and healing is giving yourself the permission and freedom to feel(angry, mad, frustrated, annoyed, judgement, etc) whatever you need to feel instead of judging or shaming yourself for feeling the way do. Because let’s face it, sometimes life isn’t fair and it’s frustrating AF. .

And it can be quite the unnerving process to feel what you need to feel, even if you lean into it very slowly. So please, go at your own speed with the support you need. Since when did healing become a solo competition or race?! .
We are all different and you’re healing journey will be whatever it needs to be for you. There isn’t a right or wrong way. ✨💛

💙Mental illness indirectly affects all Canadians at some time through a family member, friend or colleague. By age 40, about 50% of the population will have or have had a mental illness. .
💙The stigma attached to mental health not only erodes the confidence that mental illness is a real, treatable health condition - it also presents a serious barrier on it’s acceptance by the community. .
💙This stigma fuels the shame around it-it’s eye rolled and most of the time slapped with a “get over it already...you’re fine.” We need to do better. .
💙Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. One can not be healthy without the other. It isn’t always a choice. But your recovery is and looks different for everyone.
💙I’m a huge advocate for: naturopathic medicine, yoga, meditation, mindset, therapy, gut health, proper nutrition and a supportive tribe when it comes to your mental health. It’s been a game-changer for so many people I know - including me. .
