Happy ! Today's feature is one of our mental health clinicians, Ofelia!
Ofelia studied Fashion Communication at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Design. Before becoming an Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist, she worked in the film and television industry as a costumer on various shows and movies. She also spent five years facilitating a weekly art and wellness group for adults at Council Fire Native Cultural Centre in Toronto, creating space for creativity, connection, and community before joining Anderson Therapy.
Outside of work, Ofelia enjoys both creative and movement-based activities. She practices yoga and Pilates, and spends time sewing her own clothes and experimenting with natural fabric dyeing—growing dye plants, harvesting them, and extracting colour. When she’s not making art, you can usually find her with her family, walking in the forest, canoeing, or enjoying time in nature.
