Before 2025 is complete, I have to announce that there are three new Reiki level 1 Initiates in the world!

Congratulations to Terri () Marie () of and Alexa () on receiving your Level 1 Reiki Certification and welcome to the Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho!

You women are all such intuitive and wise souls and I can’t wait to see how reiki enriches your lives. We moved through some deep transformation together and our theme for the four days brought beautiful clarity and self-reclamation. I’m sure there will be more.

Thank you for trusting me to guide you and thank you for your bravery in undertaking this soul detox before the close of this year. May the year of the wood horse bring you great expansion and movement. ❤️‍🔥

As I reflect back personally, I am so proud to say that in my first six months of being a Reiki Master I have initiated seven new students, all of whom are already using reiki in the most beautiful ways in their day to day lives and businesses. And most importantly, thank you all for giving back to yourselves and in turn, the planet.

Today is the day my female hero crossed over—Dec 11th, 1980.

Mrs. Hawayo Takata is the reason Reiki made its way to and survived here in the West.

Against all odds she protected this sacred healing art and brought it with her from Japan to Hawaii where she opened her own clinic. She travelled around the US and Canada teaching Level 1 and 2 to eager students. For years she practiced and taught but it wasn’t until the last 10 years of her life that she began training other Reiki Masters. She trained 22 Masters, few of whom are alive today. One of them in Canada in BC.

She was tenacious, bold, fiery and knew the importance of the lineage she had been initiated in to. I feel honoured to be connected to her in this way.

The fact that an American-Japanese woman wouldn’t take “No” for an answer and practiced this healing art through and during Pearl Harbour, to me, is extraordinary.

I call her into every attunement I perform and I feel her presence guiding me.

Thank you, Mrs. Hawayo Hiromi Kawamura Takata (Dec 24, 1900-Dec 11, 1980) for your 45 year long dedication to the Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho lineage and the healing art of Reiki.

Fun fact: Mrs. Takata did not give out manuals. She showed you the treatment process and then she told her students to “Practice, practice, practice!”

(Don’t worry. I provide manuals! I have a Level 1 Reiki starting Dec 15th, too!)

Ladies and gentlemennnnn 🥁

Mama Yelo has reached level 74!

Happy Birthday to an incredible human who is still growing, learning and expanding! Your openness to continued growth inspires me to do the same.

You achieved your level 1 reiki this year and use it every day on yourself and your sweet cat Sampson. You are truly an example of someone carrying reiki with sacredness, devotion and gratitude. You are a gold star student.

You are in your healing era and it shows. I’ve seen you move through tough emotions, memories and experiences without fear. I’ve seen you try new modalities and you have opened your eyes and heart to ways of healing that others might look down upon. Thank you for trusting me. I will always have your back.

You are always there for your family. Even if it means you make Baka’s chicken noodle soup for everyone on Saturdays. Those gestures never go unnoticed. You have the biggest heart.

I know every birthday without your mama (Baka) is hard and birthdays can be hard for you in general but thank you for allowing me and so many others to shower you in love. You truly deserve it.

Happy birthday Mama. I love you just as much as you love watermelon!

I am so incredibly proud of both Melissa and Mandy for completing their Level 1 this weekend.

Both of these women have been wanting to carry Reiki for a long time now, and all aligned for us to come together for four days over two weekends. Mandy and Melissa, It was thrilling to see your light grow and I know you will both be incredible practitioners one day as you mold and shape your future practice.

Congratulations to both of you as you walk with this sacred healing art. The world just got a little bit brighter.

How often do you cleanse and protect your home?

The weather today is so fresh, so I threw open a window. Then I realized I hadn’t cleansed and protected my home for quite a while. I teach here, practice reiki and live here so it’s essential!

I’m currently working on getting rid of disorder and chaos so the physical purge has begun but what about the energetic signature of my home?

This is something anyone can do!

Here’s my house cleansing recipe:

1. I opened all the windows.
2. I smoke cleared or smudged every room, every corner and behind doors. I used sage. Sweet grass, cedar (protection), palo santo (clears rage) and lavender are some other options.
3. I played my drum continuously to break up and clear the energy in each room, behind doors and in all corners.
4. I used my voice and sang the sacred Om continually as I walked through each room.
5. I then used my crystal pyramid in each room, in each corner and behind doors to raise the frequency of the space and clear any residual energy.
6. I infused each room with reiki, letting the energy flow from my hands and moved them in a motion across my walls as if I was painting the room.
7. I sprinkled ritual protection salt purchased from my dear friend at the threshold of each doorway that allows entry into my home. I asked that only people of the highest vibration, carrying the frequency of unconditional love or with intentions to heal may be able to enter this space.
8. I finished by envisioning a globe or dome of light around my home asking that it remain protected and guarded.

A year ago today our sweet lady went to join the angels. Our favourite thing to do what to get our nails done together. Baka you were always put together with your hair and nails done. Always beautiful. In June I dedicated my voice to you and sang traditional Serbian songs wearing your beautiful dress…I wish I sang these for you when you were earthside but I know you now have the best seat in the house. I miss you every minute of every day Baka even though I can feel your beautiful energy around us always. Volim te i uvek si u mom srcu.

Is there a magical witchy reason for us having matching toofs? Maybe one day we’ll figure it out. P.E.I. is on the Atlantic Ocean and as soon as I smelled the salt water in the air, the need to put my body in the ocean was very intense.

The first day we went to the beach it was cloudy and not warm, but I didn’t care. I had to do it.

It was emotional. I could feel the energy of sadness from so many looking at this body of water as a weapon, but to me it felt familiar. It felt like home.

It is vast, immense, and powerful.

I also noted the weather when I was there. Day one was a rain cleanse to wash away sorrow and our second beach day was windy. The air element took away what didn’t belong anymore. It also showed me the immense power of the water when combined with the air element. Gaia is extraordinary.

At one point I stood on the shore and started to channel light language and I could hear that I was bringing forward codes to shift the view of this body of water from deadly to pure love. I also could also hear that this transmission was for every Atlantean on earth right now who is awakening, remembering and wanting to heal.

It was also for my own healing. There were many tears.

I offered these two crystals to the ocean that have been with me since the beginning of my reiki master apprenticeship. I filled them with some deep love and healing codes and then gave them to the Atlantic.
