We erased that chin shadow with one syringe of filler and the difference is unreal 🔥
⚫️ See that dark shadow pooling under the chin in the before photo? That’s not fat or double chin, it’s actually a hollow area called the prejowl sulcus that creates a visual indent and casts a shadow.
As we age, we lose volume in the lower face, particularly along the jawline and chin area, which causes this sunken appearance that makes the face look heavier than it actually is.
✅ We corrected this using strategic filler placement directly into that hollow, essentially filling the dip to bring it level with the surrounding tissue and eliminate the shadow effect.
The technique involves using a cannula to place filler along the prejowl area and sometimes extending into the chin itself to create a smooth, continuous contour from jaw to chin.
You can see in the after how that dark shadow has completely disappeared, not because we removed anything, but because we filled the depression that was catching the light incorrectly.
Results are immediate and last 12-18 months, and there’s minimal downtime besides potential slight swelling for a day.
