That meme about protein pressure made me laugh because it’s true.

Protein is important — especially for women in perimenopause — but social media can make it feel like you need to hit perfect targets every single meal, every single day!

In my practice, we start where YOU are, not where social media says you should be.

If you skip meals → we start with regular meals.
If protein is low → we add small amounts.
If nutrition feels overwhelming → we simplify.

Small changes add up.

Older, would like to think wiser and more intentional!
Midlife brings all sorts of challenges but what I’m realizing is that our daily habits can either be our anchor or something else weighing us down.

Being mindful of our food choices, being intentional with our movement to maintain our strength and swapping self criticism for self compassion are the daily habits that will serve us ALWAYS.

The transition through perimenopause often feels like navigating a snowy road-sometimes slippery, sometimes a little lonely but always beautiful if you look at the horizon ☀️.
It’s easy to focus on the challenges (hello irritability and loss of words 🙋🏻‍♀️) but what if we viewed this stage as an empowering journey? One where we put ourselves first-practice more self care, more self compassion and embrace this time for growth and self discovery.
