A personal perspective on treatment

For the past 23 years of practice and while in the programme itself, I have firmly taken the approach that the best form of therapy is that which is evidence-based while having a solid grounding in the most current understanding of underlying mechanisms of muscular pain and tightness. Whether this is the functional archictecture of skeletal (striated) muscle; the processing of pain from different sources (etioliologies of nociception); the clinical significance/mechanisms of underlying conditions (pathophysiology); or the collective impact upon how your muscles and joints are functioning (biomechanics), such a conceptual foundation to treatment requires constant academic research and reflection on clinical assessments and outcomes. To that end I have maintained access to hundreds of thousands of peer-reviewed medical journals, including the most recent articles-in-press which have been critiqued and are slated for publication in the future. With that approach I had been asked and had worked as the assistant editor of a medical journal for two years before arriving in Hanna, being responsible for establishing its peer-reviewed system, and the guidance literature each for authors and peer reviewers, including a review examining international conventions on using people as subjects in medical studies to which Canada is a party, as well as guidelines from Health Canada and legislation for each province and territory on use of personal health information (PHI). Additionally, it was the reason I had been asked to draw up and implement an onsite treatment regimen for workers at Rhodia Engineering Plastics in all four divisions of the plant, the results of which from an in-house study found that absenteeism from repetitive strain injuries had been completely eliminated within three months.

So with that in mind, when you have your treatment, you can be assured that my treatment approach will always place an emphasis on that which you are experiencing in the context of your particular mechanical stressors and medical history, and together with your guidance through regular feedback, 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚-𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.
