As more Incident Reports are being completed, to make sure your efforts will have their most effective outcome, two other tracks are running concurrently:

1. meteorlogical data collected at 2hr-intervals being recorded in a separate spreadsheet
2. every intersection geolocated as lattitude and longitude, supplementing the incident-report spreadsheet.

Specifically, the data being collected is that used by aviators for Hanna, including:
a. date and time, i.e., 0000MST, 0200MST to 2200MST
b. temperature at ground level, 25m, 50m, 75m and 100m
c. TDS (Temperature Dew Point Spread)
d. probability of precipitation
e. rate of precipitation
f. cloud cover and cloud elevation
g. wind velocity and gust velocity at ground level, 25m, 50m, 75m and 100m
h. wind bearing as well as direction for each data point in g.

If you are interested in sharing details, here is the digital survey card with a QR code, which you can save into your SMS contacts on your phone. Others can use their camera to scan the QR code to obtain links to updates, an active contact link, and of course, the Incident Report link.

1. a resident asked whether odours like manure are included in the incident reports. The answer is, "yes." Under the section, "Odour Profile:," there has been a checkbox for "f***l" which includes manure.

2. for affected business owners concerned about customers and staff onsite, and who want to show proactive support to them, I can drop off printed Incident Reports they can complete for each exposure. I will pick them up myself. Just contact me via the FB page with your request. You can also show them the digital survey card with QR code they can easily scan with their smartphone camera:

I would firstly like to thank everyone how has responded to the survey with their incidence reports. The response has been fantastic. Any suggestions you have to improve this citizens' initiative are always encouraged and welcome:

A few updates:
1. the survey has been extended to December 12th, 2025 to collect five weeks of data

3. a refinement of meteorological data for Gaussian Plume and Puff modelling to determine likely source(s) of odours is in effect to sharpen the predictability confidence (see below)
4. efforts are underway to help local businesses affected document their incidents
5. for those who are not connected online, a manual incident report sheet is being printed once specific locations for districution are identified

Through our comprehensive efforts collectively we are in a better position to help determine the source(s).

This follow-up community survey invites residents and workers in Hanna, Alberta (T0J 1P0) to share first-hand reports of sulphur-like odours observed between November 7 and December 12, 2025 (inclusive).

Participants may complete the questionnaire once per incident per location, provided at least one hour separates each entry.

By submitting a response, you consent to the information being used to produce a composite visual summary for public viewing, to inform a community report to Hanna Town Council, and to support possible discussion of local environmental conditions.

All submissions will remain anonymous—no names, emails, or personal identifiers will be collected or shared.
