Jane Foster Radke of Hanover passed away peacefully, though unexpectedly, surrounded by family at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2026, following her return from a much-enjoyed family vacation to Mexico. She was 88 years old.

Born in Woodstock on October 15, 1938, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Hector Roblin Murdy and Lottie Murielle Murdy (née Copeland). She will be fondly remembered throughout the Hanover community as a devoted and deeply compassionate nurse at Hanover Hospital. Organizations including the Hanover Auxiliary, Parkinson’s, and the Hanover Library benefited from Jane’s enthusiasm, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Rob Norris and his wife Suzanne of Manitoulin Island, and her daughter Libby Norris of Mississauga. Jane was predeceased by her first husband, Don Norris, and her second husband, Stewart “Stu” Radke.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Jane’s life with a Memorial Service held at Grace United Church, Hanover on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jenn Brown officiating. Following the service there will be a time of visitation and reception in the church Hall. Cremation has taken place with family and inurnment at Hanover Cemetery planned for spring.

Ret. Police Constable Eric James Bohn, a devoted public servant and beloved member of his community, is remembered with deep gratitude and heavy hearts. After years of unwavering commitment to protecting others, he had finally stepped into retirement—a well-earned chapter that ended far too soon at his home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was 56.
Born on December 21, 1968, to Erhard and Bernadette (Danis) Bohn in Windsor, Eric started his public service as a Military Police officer with the 21st Service Battalion Canadian Army Reserve. He moved on to municipal policing with the Toronto Police Service 14 Division patrol, many specialized units, as a training officer, and in his final chapter teaching new recruits and requalifying existing officers as a fi****ms instructor at the Toronto Police College. He was awarded the Police Exemplary Service Medal in 2012 and his first bar in 2022, and was awarded the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery by Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Hal Jackman. He was a silent hero and did not want any recognition for his efforts and he exemplified the code of "to serve and protect". Known for his steady courage, quiet compassion, and the integrity with which he wore the badge, he touched countless lives both on and off duty. His absence leaves a profound void, yet his legacy of service, kindness, and sacrifice will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him. May his memory be a reminder of the extraordinary difference one dedicated life can make. After retirement from the Toronto Police Service, he continued his legacy of service to others while working for Pegasus Safety and Rescue, as a Medic and Rescue Technician. He will have a special place in the hearts of all his colleagues and brothers in blue. Outside of his professional accomplishments he enjoyed the quiet things in life. He adored his wife and of course his girls and loved watching them grow into the beautiful young ladies that they have become. He could be found enjoying the peace and quiet of his home in the countryside and enjoyed retirement in Grey Bruce alongside his family and their horses.
Survived by devoted wife of 34 years Paula (nee Erdmann). Loving father of Samantha and Danielle. Beloved son of Erhard and the late Bernadette Bohn. Fondly remembered by his only brother Curtis (Sandra) Bohn. Eric's memory will be treasured by his parents in law Karl (Diane) Erdmann. He will be missed by his sisters in law Laurie Gerald, Amy (Rob) Turnbull and Karla (John) Oleynik, his nephew Joseph and nieces Sophia, Alyssa, Alanah, Brianna, Sydney, great niece Aria, and dear cousins, and will always hold a cherished place in the heart of his special aunt Raymonde (Gerry) Schneider. Eric will be treasured among all his brothers in blue, his lifelong friends, as well as many friends and colleagues at Pegasus Safety and Rescue and the 21st Service Battalion.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00pm - 5:00pm - Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Location) - 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON.
Memorial donations to the Toronto Police Widows and Orphans Fund (TPWOF.ca) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca

Carol Elaine Minke of Hanover passed away peacefully with family by her side at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on Monday December 1st, 2025. She was 81.
First born to Melvin and Helen (nee Krigner) Minke, in Hanover July 17th, 1944. Still proudly holding onto the original receipt from the hospital her father paid for her birth. It cost $36.00 and that included a 12 day stay in the hospital for both her and her mother.
Carol attended Scone Public School, Chesley High School and George Brown College in London becoming a licenced hair stylist. She spent many years in Kitchener working as a hair stylist and when she was unable to practice full time, she transitioned into retail working for Arnold Bros. Warehouse until its closing.
Carol was a very independent person although never acquiring her driver’s licence. She was an avid bus commuter navigating both city and cross-country schedules. Many trips home to Hanover and Chesley were made to visit and help with aging family members. It was very upsetting when they discontinued the bus service home. It was like losing one’s licence. A decision was then made to permanently return to Hanover to help care for her aging parents until their passing. During her years in Hanover, Carol kept busy working for different businesses including Saugeen Carpet Cleaning, the local Laundromat (Milligan’s), office cleaning for Bill Brown’s Income Tax Service and then the Bank of Nova Scotia until her official retirement. Through her working life she also continued to spend her time assisting and helping the senior community. Over the years, Carol enjoyed making a difference in the lives of many people living in The Village Retirement Residence where she formed valued friendships.
Carol possessed an artistic flair in all she did. She had many talents including knitting and beautiful penmanship which won her many awards in the local fall fairs. Her greatest talent was her cake making and decorating. They were always requested for special occasions and get togethers. Her cakes were decorated in beautiful colours with fine details down to the handmade buttercream flowers. They were as delicious to eat as they were beautiful to look at. She was also noted for sending cards to family and friends for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries and holidays even including Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day.
And lastly, we must acknowledge Carol’s love of George Strait and Elvis Presley. We feel she would never forgive us if we did not mention this important fact. She loved the music, and we will forever think of Carol fondly when we hear their music.
We would like to thank everyone at Chapman House for taking such good care of Carol and for also supporting our family during her last weeks. We are grateful and appreciate this valued service in our area.

She will be greatly missed by her brother John (Cheryl) Minke, and sisters Sandy (Ron) Neeb and Eileen Minke (Wayne). Nieces Tammy-Jo, Natasha and Tanya and Great Niece Ainsley.
As per Carols wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial Donations to the Chapman House or charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Condolences may be sent to family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
