Did you know your feet can reveal important clues about your overall health? 👀

Conditions like diabetes, arthritis, or circulation issues often show early signs in your feet.

Symptoms like numbness, tingling, swelling, cold feet, or wounds that won’t heal may indicate bigger health concerns.

Foot problems can even affect your knees, hips, and back, impacting your overall mobility.

Taking care of your feet isn’t just about comfort — it’s about supporting your whole body’s health.

Tip: Regular check-ups, proper footwear, and early attention to changes in your feet can keep you moving safely and comfortably.

Hydration is Key!

💧 Drink enough water: Staying hydrated supports skin health from within. Aim for 6–8 glasses of water per day, unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.

🧴 Use a urea-based moisturizer (10–25%):

Urea is a clinically proven humectant that draws water into the skin and gently exfoliates dry, dead skin cells.

Studies show urea creams improve skin smoothness and repair cracked heels more effectively than standard lotions.k

🚫 Avoid petroleum-only products: They seal in moisture but don’t add it — ideal after soaking or moisturizing, but not alone for very dry skin.

🧼 Gently exfoliate weekly: Removes dead skin and allows moisturizers to absorb better.

🧦 Moisturize before bed & wear cotton socks: This helps lock in moisture overnight.

⚠️ Never remove hard skin with sharp tools: Leave that to a Foot Care Nurse to avoid injury or infection.

Slow & Steady: Why Toenail Care Matters

Did you know your toenails grow much slower than your fingernails? On average, they grow only about 1.6 mm per month, and it can take 12‑18 months for a toenail to fully regrow.

Here’s why that matters:

Because they grow slowly, neglecting a toenail problem (ingrown nail, fungal infection, trauma) means it lingers for a long time.

A slow‑growing toenail gives underlying foot health issues (circulation, nutrition, injury) a chance to worsen before you notice.

Regular, professional foot‑care helps you stay ahead of these issues — so you don’t end up waiting a year for recovery.
