We are blown away from the support of our community during this pet food and supply drive. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference to the animals in our community. We are so excited to bring it to Grey Bruce Animal Shelter!

On behalf of On Solid Ground Footcare & Orthotics and myself; we cannot thank you enough for your incredible generosity during our Pet Food & Supply Drive in support of the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter.

The community support was overwhelming, and the donations will make a meaningful difference for so many animals in need.

Because of you, we collected:
10 flats of cat food
18 medium bags of dog food
11 large bags of dog food
9 small bags of dog food
16 bags/boxes of kitty litter
1 full 100L tote of treats & wet cat food
1 full 100L tote of harnesses, leashes, collars & walking items
1 full 100L tote of coats, sweaters & apparel
1 full 100L tote of miscellaneous pet items
1 box of assorted wet dog food
10 dog beds
3 fully filled bags of towels & blankets

A special thank you to Canadian Tire- Hanover, Mullen Small Animal Clinic, Beädog Pet Services, Éowyns Cafe, Pawtherapy K9 Aquatic & Massage Centre, Saugeen Physiotherapy & Allied Health Centre & Cody's Egg Shack fo massive donations and being drop off locations. We are organizing a Holiday Pet Food and Supply Drive to support the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter, which provides care and shelter for abandoned and surrendered pets in our region.

The drive runs from November 1, 2025 to December 31st, 2025, and we are collecting items from the shelter’s wish list:

FOOD & TREATS
• Dry & canned dog and cat food (all ages)
• Treats

PET SUPPLIES
• Toys, collars, leashes, martingale collars
• Harnesses & large dog coats

CAT CARE
• Cat litter & litter boxes

WHAT IS IT WEDNESDAY! To start introduce What is it Wednesday we are starting with Chiropody.

Chiropody “involves the assessment of the foot and the treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunctions of the foot by therapeutic, orthotic or palliative means.”

Chiropodists treat common issues like corns and calluses, address more complex concerns such as diabetic foot complications and fungal infections, and can provide custom orthotics to improve foot function.

Introduction Time!

Please help us welcome our newest member of the allied health team - Jessica Tolton!

Jessica is a dedicated and compassionate chiropodist committed to helping patients achieve optimal foot health and mobility. With experience treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, she focuses on personalized, evidence-based care.

After earning a degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, she furthered her education at the Michener Institute with an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. There, she went on to gain hands-on experience in both clinical and private practice settings. She stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in podiatric care to ensure patients receive the most effective and evidence-based treatments available.

In addition to clinical work, Jessica serves as a board member for the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, contributing to the advancement of the profession and advocating for excellence in patient care across the province.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Jessica enjoys staying active through walking her dog, Stanley, and catching a live concert whenever she can. This provides her a well-rounded perspective and foster strong connections with patients from all walks of life.

She believes that healthy feet are the foundation for a healthy life and are passionate about empowering individuals to stay active and pain-free.
