Our hearts are heavy today. Losing young lives — full of potential, friendship, laughter, and future — is something our minds can’t make sense of. There are no words that can reach the depth of pain felt by the families, friends, and classmates grieving right now.
To those directly touched by this tragedy: please know that the shock, confusion, anger, and sorrow you feel are all natural parts of grief. There is no right way to move through something so wrong. Take care of one another in small, gentle ways — a text, a meal, a quiet presence.
To our local teens: you matter deeply. Your lives ripple farther than you know. And to our community — may we hold space for one another as we mourn, remember, and keep these young souls in our hearts.
