I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Dr. Chapeskie speak at the conference this past weekend—what an incredible experience! He’s trained doctors from around the world in the Vandenbos procedure, and on top of that, he was genuinely funny and engaging. Definitely a highlight of the weekend!

This weekend at the professional foot care education conference, Dr. Chapeskie took the stage to present a procedure that is quietly changing the standard of care for chronic ingrown toenails: the Vandenbos procedure.

Pinkal Gandhi, NP — a clinical educator associated with the AFCN Learning Institute — was personally trained and mentored by Dr. Chapeskie to perform this specialized procedure.
She is one of the few nurse practitioners in Ontario offering it, and she brings this rare expertise to her patients at two London clinics.
