making some lard based skin lotions this week.
we culled the hogs here at the perfect time and been slowly working away at all the bits and pieces left - grateful for the perfect meat hanging temperatures.
no meat cooler just the right conditions. some years we hastily pressure can meat to avoid spoilage and some years we can hang it up for weeks.

the batch i made today is lard, coconut oil, h**p seed oil, clove and peppermint.

one of the things i love the most about my business is the women i meet in person at events - the shameless queens who want to talk about everything and anything. you are teaching others without even realizing - showing them the way, the way to self-love, freedom, health, empowerment.

we need to keep speaking up about things that matter. and women's health is a topic a lot of people shy away from when it is spoken out loud.
who has made you quiet?
who has lead you to believe your body is shameful? that its functions are?

when i was growing up, i was taught that being my true self resulted in being ridiculed. so i followed what was trending, what was safe. thank goodness i was able to turn the page on that and become unafraid of the weird and wonderful things that i love. including myself ❣️

the days feel so short right now and it is still only November. i've been needing to scratch my creative itch and decided to practice my patchwork. this sh$t is harder than it looks.

but i just cannot stand to have plain, boring chairs 😅
