From diagnosis to dignity.
This article from the Mental Health Commission of Canada Commission de la santé mentale du Canada highlights something we see every day:
👉 A diagnosis is not the finish line.
👉 It’s the starting point.
For individuals with FASD, diagnosis can bring clarity, relief, and understanding.
But without the right supports?
Too many people are still left navigating systems that weren’t built for how their brain works.
FASD is a lifelong disability that can impact memory, learning, emotional regulation, and daily life — but with the right supports, people can thrive.
This is about shifting from:
❌ labels and limitations
➡️ to
✔️ dignity, support, and possibility
At FFAS, we believe:
Support should meet people where they’re at.
Conversations should be stigma-free.
And every individual deserves the chance to succeed.
