🌸 Prenatal Education at Maskwacis Health Services 🌸

Maskwacis Health Services is offering prenatal education classes to support you through every stage of pregnancy — from early pregnancy to preparing for labor, birth, and bringing baby home 💕

✨ What’s available:
• Early Pregnancy Group Classes (under 22 weeks)
• Late Pregnancy Group Classes (22+ weeks)
• Online Prenatal Classes (self-paced)
• One-to-One Prenatal Education Sessions with a nurse

🍎 Snacks provided for in-person classes
👨‍👩‍👧 Support people are welcome
🚗 Transportation may be available
🚼 Completion of classes may make you eligible for a car seat (must be completed before 34 weeks)

• Late Pregnancy: February 24 | 5–7:30 PM

⚠️ Temporary Pause of Obstetrical Services – Wetaskiwin Hospital ⚠️

Due to a shortage of obstetrical providers, Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre will have a temporary pause in obstetrical (maternity) services during the following times:

📅 Service Pause Dates & Times
• January 29 at 8:00 AM – January 31 at 8:00 AM
• February 1 at 8:00 AM – February 2 at 8:00 AM

👶 What this means for patients:
• All obstetrical patients will be triaged on Unit 45
• Patients will be diverted to nearby facilities through RAAPID to ensure safe and appropriate care

We understand this may be concerning, and patient safety remains the top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this temporary service disruption.
