This time of year the majority of people put off their diet and fitness goals to January, the “New Year Resolution”.
For most January 2nd seems like the perfect start date. However it’s not. Giving yourself a future start date tells our subconscious that our health and goals aren’t a priority. Our dreams of being fit and lean can wait another 3 weeks. By the time that start date rolls around our brains already believe it’s not a priority.
Christmas and New Years are 2 days out of the next 13. That’s less than 20% of the time remaining until the magic start date.
This time of year is busy, I get it. If you truly don’t have time, start planning. Prepare for the 2nd, map out your diet and training schedule. Think about it daily, start monitoring your weight, measurements or energy levels, whatever it is that you plan on changing. This will wire your brain for success. No battle is ever won by going in unprepared.
