Gosh, this last 13 months has flown by. When you are pregnant people always joke about how you blink and your kids are all grown up. I now realize it’s not a joke. The littles don’t stay little for long 🤍

I have spent everyday with this little nugget for the last 8 months. It’s only fitting that I have taken a million and one photos of the two of us together. So here are a couple of my faves.
Elena is growing and changing daily. She is just now starting to crawl, eats solid foods, has ringlets in her blonde hair (which is outrageously long for a baby and we love it), laughs when you tickle her, and smiles for the camera!
My mat leave is almost over and I just feel soooo blessed to have been able to take this time to help her grow into an incredible tiny human.

…EXCEPT I’LL NEVER BE “ME” AGAIN
And I’m okay with that! I LOVE being a mom. This girl has stolen my heart and these months at home with her…well let’s just say I feel incredibly fortunate.
But, there is merit in this gentle reminder to take time - For myself. For my creativity. For my partnership with Thijs. For my body (which really needs a spa day and to do more yoga). For everything that made me ME before baby and will make me a good mother after baby.
Whoever I am now - I’ll take time for that woman ❤️
