Lorna Williams Counselling

My name is Lorna Williams and I provide counselling services to youth, adults, couples and families in Kamloops, B.C., Canada. I am a practicing Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I believe that most of us have a strong pull to feel connected and valued by the people that we deem as most important in our lives. In this way, relationships are central to our emotional, mental and physical well-being. Within a caring and supportive counselling environment, open and honest communication allows for the expression of our strengths and areas of hurt that is affecting our well-being and relationship with our self and others. As we develop our understanding and broaden our perspectives of our life circumstances, we become more open to the possibilities of change and accepting of those areas in our life that no longer require our energy. Our level of self-compassion grows and our intuitive sense naturally becomes our internal compass in guiding our choices, decisions and moment to moment responses to our everyday challenges. In working with clients, I have come to recognize that healing and transformation takes place when we are able to cultivate a healthy internal voice that can successfully guide us through these inevitable challenges of life. My work reflects a deep appreciation and sense of hopefulness for everyone’s ability to heal and grow even in the most difficult of situations.
